Customs export regime (EK) in Uzbekistan
Export regime EK applies when goods are taken out of Uzbekistan. Proper clearance lets you confirm export, keep the right to a zero or preferential rate and correctly close foreign currency proceeds under the contract.
When it is used
- Export of goods for sale abroad
- Export of samples, equipment or components to a counterparty
- Transfer of goods under a foreign trade contract
- Need to obtain export confirmation for VAT refund or benefits
Conditions of application
- The goods are taken outside the customs territory of Uzbekistan
- An export declaration in the EK form is filed
- Documents confirming the fact of export are provided
- Deadlines for receipt of foreign currency proceeds under the contract are observed

Are duties payable on export?
When exporting goods from Uzbekistan, customs duties and VAT are generally not charged. But clearance fees and export control for certain categories of goods may apply.
How do you confirm export of goods?
The fact of export is confirmed by marks in transport documents, acts of the customs authority of the destination country or electronic export messages.
What if foreign currency proceeds are not received on time?
The bank and controlling authorities may start an audit. We monitor proceeds receipt deadlines and warn about risks in advance to avoid claims.
Is a certificate of origin required for export?
Not always. A certificate of origin is required by the buyer to receive a preferential duty in the destination country. We help arrange the document if needed.
